Functions Of  Wet Scrubber :

Stage-1: The suction air stream by blower which contaminates the dust and smoke particles is sent through the water spray. The spray water arrangement reduces and filters dust particles from contaminated air in the first stage.

Stage-2: The remaining contaminated air with fine dust particles and smoke is forced with high pressure into water tank. The high pressure is created by blower by means of suction where the large particles of dust and smoke are deposited in bottom of water tank.

Stage-3: The remaining contaminated air from first two stages with fine particles of smoke and dust particles are going towards the chimney through plastic filters. Where the fine particles are filtered and the clean air is reached to atmosphere through chimney.

Filtration process:

• Water filtration: Smoke is filtered using water which is mixed with the pollutant air.
• Pressure water filtration: In this stage the water comes out with a high pressure and dust, smokes & other such particles are controlled on the water tank.
• Plastic filter: In this stage, except pollutant air is filtered using plastic filter and the pollution control air comes out to the atmosphere.
• Carbon filter: This stage is for controlling the smoke, dust or gaseous substances by means of smoke absorber or carbon fitter.
• Control system: Dust and smoke are controlled in this stage and fresh air comes as outlet by control system.

 

Another stage of filtration is added in 4 stage wet scrubber from 3 stage wet scrubber as per application. The carbon filter is placed in the filtration chamber as fourth stage filtration. In 4 stage wet scrubber fine carbon particles are filtered.
